Queensland Obesity Prevention Strategy 2022 – 2032 Community Consultation

Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld)  invites you to actively contribute to the development of the Queensland Obesity Prevention Strategy (the Strategy) and the first of a series of Action Plans, to cover a 10+10 year timeframe (2022-2042).

The survey takes about 10mins to complete - online community consultation survey.

The Strategy, and foundation Action Plan, will set out the Queensland Government's priorities and actions for the prevention of overweight and obesity in Queensland, and leverage the once-in-a lifetime opportunity that the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games presents.

Now, more than ever, the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders is of critical importance, and so we are building upon Queensland’s demonstrated track record in preventive health to amplify efforts and co-design innovative solutions.

We want to build on what Queensland is already doing to enable healthy weight, and create new and bold actions to change the factors that promote unhealthy weight and support those living with overweight and obesity. We want to ensure that priorities and actions for the Queensland Strategy and Action Plan are informed by members of the community, and reflect our diverse population and the communities where we live.

Share your views, thoughts and insights via a brief online community consultation survey.

HWQld, on behalf of the Queensland Government, is leading the development of the Strategy and the first of a series of action plans to cover a 10+10-year timeframe – 2022-2042. It is part of Queensland’s implementation response to the National Obesity Strategy.
