Managing regulated regrowth vegetation code

We welcome feedback on the draft revised accepted development vegetation clearing code for managing regulated regrowth vegetation. The code has been reviewed as part of a broader review of self-assessable activities landholders can undertake using accepted development vegetation clearing codes. The review process also ensures all codes are consistent with the aims of Queensland’s vegetation management laws, and are based on the best available science.

This consultation draft addresses issues identified through several independent technical reviews of the code for low-risk clearing activities, and we encourage anyone with feedback to have a say.

The proposed changes to the code are based on scientific input from the Queensland Herbarium. This advice has also been peer reviewed by the CSIRO.

The purpose of this code is to allow for, and to regulate, the clearing of high value regrowth vegetation.
