Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Strategy 2030

What is Strategy 2030?

Strategy 2030 was created to ensure Queensland Fire and Emergency Services’ direction considers a range of global trends and responds to the needs and expectations of Queenslanders well into the future.

The document has 5 guiding principles:

  • capable communities
  • interoperable
  • intelligence
  • sustainable and
  • adaptive.

Why is Strategy 2030 important?

In the fast-paced, ever-changing world we live in, it is imperative that the fire and emergency services provided to the Queensland community are contemporary, relevant and of the highest standards. To achieve this, QFES must ensure it understands the needs and expectations of the community.

How has it been developed?

In developing Strategy 2030, the workforce (paid and volunteer), the community and external stakeholders participated in focus groups, workshops and other engagement activities to consider what the state might look like in 2030 and what Queenslanders expect from QFES in the future.
