Creating Queensland’s Future: Developing a 10-Year Roadmap

The arts, cultural and creative sector has great potential to connect communities, drive cultural tourism, create employment opportunities and affect positive change in all areas of society, from education to health and justice issues.

We invite you to provide the Queensland Government with your insights and ideas on how the arts, cultural and creative sector can drive positive economic and social outcomes for Queensland.

Arts Queensland is leading an 8-week consultation process for Creating Queensland's Future, supported by a discussion paper and surveys (for the community and the arts sector). Arts Queensland is also coordinating face-to-face consultations, regional forums and the collection of written submissions.

Feedback from this consultation will inform:

  • the development of a 10-Year Roadmap
  • critical action planning
  • the future direction of Queensland Government's investment in the arts, cultural and creative sector.

Help us put the arts front and centre in supporting Queensland’s cultural and economic development, and making creativity the key to our future.

We want your input

A discussion paper has been developed to support the consultation process. It is the first step towards developing a long-term vision and action plan for the Queensland Government and Queensland’s arts, cultural and creative sector.

It outlines a draft vision for the sector, and proposes key objectives and potential actions to achieve this vision. In addition, it considers barriers to be addressed, and the key opportunities presented by national and global trends, including digital transformation and changing markets and business models.

The discussion paper is available here:
