South Brisbane Transport and Mobility Study

The South Brisbane Transport and Mobility Study will investigate opportunities to enhance movement into, around and through Brisbane's inner south.

Brisbane’s inner south is a diverse community that is undergoing significant growth and change.

The area is home to some of the city’s busiest destinations, including cultural centres, café and shopping precincts, as well as parks and open public spaces. These key features, rapid urban development and multiple transport connections—plus the needs of residents, medical and education providers, as well as local businesses—make the area’s transport profile complex.

The South Brisbane Transport and Mobility Study will help the Department of Transport and Main Roads to better understand the area’s current and future transport challenges and opportunities. It will map a way forward to ensure a safe and reliable transport system for the inner south.
