Have your say on the future of VET in Queensland

The Queensland Government has released the consultation draft of Advancing skills for the future: a strategy for vocational education and training in Queensland. The consultation draft sets out the Queensland Government's vision for the future of vocational education and training (VET) in our state. Now we want you to have your say on how we move our system forward.

The Department of Education and Training wants to know your views on the following themes:

  • How can VET support development of new industries and business practices, and promote the continued growth of priority industry sectors?
  • How can we support a quality VET system in Queensland so that we meet the needs of industry, employers and students?
  • How can we support all Queenslanders to access and participate in VET?
  • What is working well in the VET system in Queensland, and what could be improved?

Your submission will be considered in the development of a final strategy to be released later in 2017. Responses will be treated as confidential and will not be published.

Submissions will close on 13 April 2017.
