Better support for victims – help shape Queensland’s Victims Advocate Service

The Queensland Government has committed $50 million over 5 years to establish and deliver a new Victims Advocate Service for Queenslanders who are victims of crime, with the service set to commence in 2026.

The service will help victims of crime navigate the criminal justice process, guiding them from the start to the end of the justice process. It will also connect victims of crime to existing support services.

The Victims Advocate Service is being informed by the views of victims, victim support groups, and stakeholders to help ensure it meets the needs of victims of crime in Queensland. The Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support wants to hear from you.
