Potential temporary increase in concerts at Suncorp Stadium

This survey is being conducted by Sport and Recreation within the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport, and should take about 2 minutes to complete.

Note - As part of the survey you will be asked if you are part of the local Suncorp Stadium (Lang Park) Traffic area scroll down the page to view the map of the area.

The aim of this survey is to understand the views of local residents and businesses and Queenslanders more broadly in relation to a potential temporary increase in the number of concerts to be held at Suncorp Stadium, located in Milton.

Suncorp Stadium is currently permitted to host up to a maximum of six concerts per year under the Major Sports Facilities Regulation 2014 – which also outlines strict conditions around transport management, operational hours and noise requirements.

Note that sporting and religious events are separate from concerts and are not included within the count, and they are not the subject of this survey.

Suncorp Stadium is well equipped to host major concerts and has been doing so since 2006.    Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions on international travel, there are increasing numbers of major international artists seeking stadium-sized concert venues in Australia.

This survey is to understand whether Queenslanders, and in particular local residents and businesses, support a temporary increase in the maximum number of concerts permitted at Suncorp Stadium from up to six concerts per year (current maximum) to up to 12 concerts per year in 2023 and 2024 only.

The results of this survey will be used to inform future decisions about the maximum number of concerts that can be held at Suncorp Stadium.

Fields marked with * must be completed.
