Proposal to remove Queensland Regulated Ships registration label requirements from 1 October 2019

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is proposing to remove the requirement to attach and display a registration label on Queensland Regulated Ships from 1 October 2019.

The proposal aims to deliver a number of benefits including:

  • No more fines for not displaying a label
  • No more sticky marks or paint damage on the boat when the label is peeled off
  • Boat label requirements will be consistent with cars and trailers.

You are invited to make a written submission to tell us what you think and highlight any issues or concerns, or support for the proposal.
