Environmental Protection (Water) Policy – proposed changes: South-East Queensland

Environmental values and water quality objectives are considered in statutory planning and decision-making for development approvals and environmental authorities under the Environmental Protection Act 1994, and certain approvals under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009. They also inform non-statutory water quality planning and decision-making.

Take part in our survey and have your say on the draft environmental values and water quality objectives for South-East Queensland waters.

This work is being undertaken under the Environmental Protection (Water) Policy 2009.

All draft documents are available from the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP) website.

Further information will be released when available for Wet Tropics waters.

Please refer to Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP) for more details.
