Engaging ideas
Engaging Ideas is a unique knowledge sharing initiative of the Department of Communities, managed by the Strategic Evidence Branch (SEB). Engaging Ideas events are generally held every month and take the form of seminars, workshops, presentations and round table events.
Engaging Ideas highlights the multidisciplinary nature of the research contribution to policy and practice in human services and helps to create and strengthen networks between the department, other government agencies, research centres and non-government service providers.
At these events, eminent academics and practitioners from Queensland, Australia and overseas present to an audience of key researchers, practitioners and decision makers from the public and private sectors. They share the latest research findings in areas such as social policy, community engagement and community development, and other topics that relate to the Department of Communities core business.
The views and conclusions of speakers at the Engaging Ideas Events are those of the speakers and do not necessarily represent the views or conclusions of the Department of Communities.
