Community engagement training & development

The Community Engagement Improvement Strategy advocates a more coordinated approach to the current ad hoc system of community engagement training.

This approach includes:

• developing competencies for community engagement
• maintaining an up-to-date calendar of training and development programs across government, TAFE institutes and universities
• conducting a training program for middle managers (under development)
• reviewing agency community engagement training needs and developing responses to priorities.
