The IDeA Knowledge website offers a wide range of services that are designed to deliver forward-thinking and in-depth content on improvement issues and it shares examples of good practise from councils across England and Wales. The Services and tools are provided in a number of forms including: publications, websites and e-learning modules; development courses and programmes; and peer reviews and tailored support.

Canadian Policy Research Networks

Canadian Policy Research Networks' (CPRN) mission is to create knowledge and lead public dialogue and debate on social and economic issues important to the well-being of Canadians.

It brings together governments, unions, corporations, NGOs, voluntary organizations, academics, and other think tanks to form networks of users and researchers for each of their research programs. Their neutral space frees all of these players to engage directly in the research process and benefit from "real time" knowledge transfer. They currently operate four Networks - in the areas of Family, Health, Public Involvement and Work. Since CPRN opened its doors, thousands of people have participated in roundtables, workshops, dialogues and advisory committee meetings. More than 100 departments and private organizations have funded their work. Hundreds of researchers from more than 20 universities have taken part in their research projects.

A recent external evaluation of CPRN and its work finds that CPRNs research is informed, relevant, of high quality and useful to governments at all levels, as well as other stakeholders involved in policy development.
