Framework for improving Community Engagement in Land & Resources Business
The framework has been developed under the Chief Executive Officers' Committee on Land and Resources. It recognises that effective and well-coordinated community engagement by land and resource agencies is critical for planning, management and use of land, natural resources, transport and roads.
The primary focus of the framework is greater collaboration and joint activity across agencies, in both community engagement practice and in organisational change to support engagement.
The strategies and actions under the framework will inform community engagement policies, strategies and actions of land and resource agencies over three years, and will be achieved primarily by the land and resources agencies linking with and participating in activities under the whole-of-government Community Engagement Improvement Strategy.
