What is the purpose of eForums?
eForums allows you to exchange ideas, ask questions, and share your experiences with other members of the community and the Queensland Government.
How do I use eForums?
- You can read what other people have to say about the forum issue - print them out or read them online.
- You can share your own views by posting to the forum. Simply go to the forum topic you are interested in and click on ‘Post reply'. Type your reply, include your name and email address if you wish, and click ‘Submit message'
Do I have to give my personal details if I want to post a message on eForums?
No, you do not have to provide personal details, such as your name, in order to post a message on eForums. The name and email address field are optional, and you can provide these details if you wish to be contacted for further information. Please include only your first name or a nick name in the Name field. If you provide your real name, your message will not be approved. Please do not provide any personal information in your message, as this will be removed by the moderator. The email address field will only used to contact you about your message, if necessary.
Some forums ask for your age group, gender and location. We collect this information for statistical reporting purposes so that we can monitor the effectiveness of our online initiatives and successfully reach target groups.

What is a Moderator?
The moderator is responsible for reviewing all incoming forum messages and ensuring that messages published on the site meet the criteria outlined within the Acceptable Use Policy. The moderator may edit your message so that it meets this policy. If it is not reasonably possible for your message to be edited to meet the Acceptable Use Policy, the moderator may delete your message. The moderator may also provide clarification or comments on a forum topic.
What is the Acceptable Use Policy?
The Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Conditions of Use for eForums, and ensures that all content on the website is acceptable for general public viewing. Because eForums is a moderated online discussion forum, some terms and conditions are considered particularly important to maintain the spirit in which contributions are made to this website. The Conditions of Use also protect the rights of participants and the State of Queensland. You must agree to these Conditions of Use before you can either contribute your views or browse the views of others.
What happens to my message if it does not meet the Acceptable Use Policy?
If your message does not meet the Acceptable Use Policy, the moderator may edit your message so that it can be published in accordance with this policy. If it is not reasonably possible for your message to be edited to meet the Acceptable Use Policy, the moderator may delete your message.
