Additions to the National Noxious Fish List

Closing date for feedback: 30 November 2009

Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries (QPIF) seeks your input into the current National Noxious Fish List.

Under the national management strategy for ornamental fish (A strategic approach to the management of ornamental fish in Australia), the status of ornamental fish species in Australia is continuing to be reviewed. The latest group of fish species (PDF, 43 KB) to be assessed has been handed down to state jurisdictions to consider and Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries (QPIF) now seeks your input.

How to have your say

Feedback must be received by 5pm on 30 November 2009.

Feedback should focus on answering the following questions based on social, cultural, economic and environmental reasons:
  1. Which species on this list do you object to being declared noxious (and therefore prohibited) in Queensland?
  2. Why do you object to these species being declared noxious in Queensland?
You can provide your feedback online or via one of the methods shown below.
