Draft State Planning Policy for Healthy Waters

The draft State Planning Policy for Healthy Waters 2009 and the draft State Planning Policy Guideline for Healthy Waters 2009 are available for public comment and submissions are invited.

The purpose of the draft State Planning Policy for Healthy Waters 2009 is that development for urban purposes under the Integrated Planning Act 1997, including community infrastructure, is planned, designed, constructed, and operated to manage stormwater and waste water in ways that protect the environmental values prescribed in the Environmental Protection (Water) Policy 2009.

Copies of the draft SPP and SPP guideline may be inspected during business hours at local departmental business centres. Printed copies of the documents may also be obtained by contacting the Department of Environment and Resource Management by telephone on 07 3405 6898.
