Coal Seam Gas Water Management in Queensland

The Queensland Government recently made a number of policy decisions about the management of coal seam gas (CSG) water. These decisions will deliver more environmentally sustainable outcomes and encourage greater beneficial use of CSG water.

These issues and more are raised in the discussion paper-Management of associated water produced from coal seam gas production, May 2009

This requirement would avoid the significant contribution of new pool filtration systems to future peak demand and improve the sustainability of Queensland’s electricity infrastructure.
